Leading the Way in Dental Innovation
At Yarra Smiles, we believe that embracing advanced technology is part of providing exceptional dental care. Our commitment to staying at the forefront of dental innovations ensures that our patients receive the most effective and efficient treatments possible.
From diagnosis to treatment, our state-of-the-art technology enhances the accuracy, safety and comfort of every dental procedure. We are dedicated to offering the best in modern dental solutions to support your oral health journey.

Digital X-Rays
Dental X-rays enable your dentist to detect issues that aren’t visible during a visual exam. They provide clear, detailed images of your teeth and surrounding bones.
With digital X-rays, dentists can identify cavities, bone loss and infections at an early stage. This enables prompt treatment before more extensive damage is caused by the disease activity. These conditions may be present but may not cause any symptoms and hence may remain undiagnosed. This technology also greatly reduces radiation exposure compared to traditional X-rays, ensuring a safer experience for patients.
Digital dental X-rays streamline the diagnostic process, making it easier to monitor oral health over time and plan precise, personalised treatments. Although dental X-rays are not essential at every dental visit and they should only be taken when necessary, they do form an integral part of a comprehensive dental examination.

Panoramic X-Ray
Individual digital dental x-rays are great for diagnosing specific tooth problems. Panoramic x-rays, on the other hand, provide a big-picture view of your teeth, bone level, and jaw joints. Panoramic x-rays are beneficial in planning surgeries and detecting cysts, tumours, or bone loss.
Panoramic x-rays are also highly beneficial for patients who have complete or partial dentures to monitor any changes and measure any bone loss over time.
Panoramic x-rays are easy to capture. You simply step into the zone and stand still as the x-ray moves around your head. We can pull up the x-ray chairside and show you the results.

Televisions in Treatment Rooms
We understand that visiting the dentist can create anxiety for some people, so any distraction is welcome. At Yarra Smiles, we provide televisions in our patient rooms, so you can drift away into your favourite programme, a lovely nature documentary or whatever you like to distract your mind while we look after your smile.
Rotary Endodontics
Rotary endodontics provides many benefits in root canal treatments, enhancing success and efficiency.
This root canal technique uses electrically powered instruments to clean and shape tooth canals with improved accuracy, making it superior to old-fashioned files. The flexibility of rotary instruments often reduces the risk of damage to the root structure for higher success rates.
Patients may experience less discomfort and shorter treatment times, making the procedure more efficient and comfortable.

Intraoral Camera
Intraoral cameras let us show you exactly what your dentist sees when examining your mouth. A compact, pen-like instrument can take high-resolution photos, so we can show you any dental conditions requiring your attention while you are in your chair so you can make informed choices.

Airflow Prophylaxis Master
Airflow is extremely efficient at removing staining from your teeth. The airflow system uses a fine powder which lifts stains caused by tea, coffee, red wine and smoking leaving teeth looking whiter and brighter.
